Trying something new means not knowing the answer yet. When a tower tumbles or a word won’t fit, there is something useful to notice.

Make room for another try

Instead of rushing in with the answer, pause. Ask: “What did you notice?” or “What could we change?” Give your child time to test an idea. The goal is to help them look closely and decide on a next step.

Try it together

Build a bridge with paper and two books. Test it with a small toy. Fold the paper, test again, and talk about what changed. Celebrate the careful observation as well as the bridge that holds.
